The male clutch.

I've always wondered how men carry around things. Women have handbags, totes, satchels, clutches, purses, the works. And the only bag I've seen men carry around are bagpacks, briefcases and suitcases.

What happens when you want to carry just your phone, your keys and your lighter? You obviously can't stuff them into your pockets, too tacky. You also can't carry a briefcase/bagpack just for these tiny things. What to do? Enter : The male clutch.

Louis Vuitton men's bag Fall 2011
How did this trend evolve?
It all started with the invention of tablets. These big gadgets fall between phones and laptops in size and productivity. Men loved these gadgets and started carrying them around in the hands with tablet holders thus resembling clutches.
Since that time, clutches were popularized on runways. Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Burberry Prorsum, you name the brand.

After the big designer brands, high street brands followed suit. Brands like Zara, Ted Baker, Reiss, Kenneth Cole to name a few have all featured male clutch/Technology holders in their recent campaigns.

What do you think of this trend? Would you go for it? Do let me know in the comments!

Beat the sun in style.

Who here likes Iron man? Okay, who am I kidding! I should be asking who here doesn't like Iron man? and then I should be closing the door on you. Okay, Ignore that.

Anyway, ever since I saw Iron man 3 on April 26th at 9 o clock in the morning, I cannot get Robert Downey Jr, the brilliantly handsome actor playing Tony Stark out of my head. His attitude, his style everything is unbeatable. And another thing I noticed? He has the coolest collection of sunglasses! No, really!

Agreed?

The trick here is to think out of the box, to experiment. To not stick to the basics. Some of the sunglasses he's wearing, I wouldn't ever dare to wear. But he does look great, doesn't he?
So try new shapes and colours, try prints in sunglasses too. Try the new mirrored sunglasses trend. Just make sure the shape suits your face shape and you're golden!

Few awesome sunglasses I found here and there.

The horrifying side of Pinterest.

I'll be frank with you guys. I love Pinterest. I love learning about fashion and food and places I didnt even know existed through Pinterest. And I'm not the only one. Pinterest, social media's latest darling has had a rapid rise.
It has also revealed a very alarming situation of Thinspiration or Thinspo boards, which mean pictures or sayings which give us inspiration to lose weight. Now isn't that a good thing? Sure! I used to love checking out these boards when I felt too lazy to hit the gym and it really did inspire me. THAT WAS UNTIL IMAGES LIKE THESE STARTED POPPING UP ON MY SCREEN.

Scary, isn't it? But Apparently, this is what some women want to look like and will go to any lengths to achieve that. They want jutting collar bones and hip bones and ribs showing and the gap between legs. Why? Well, that's beyond me. But if any of you guys feel this way, please, snap out of it! This isn't how we were meant to look like. This is unhealthy, extremely dangerous and not at all sexy!
Thankfully, Pinterest is planning to ban all sorts of Thinspo pins/boards and has already put a warning on the site.

But I feel Pinterest is just the platform, the problem is much deeper rooted amongst us. And with the fashion world fueling our already low self esteem, we have hit a new low. I believe we need to spread awareness and on a large scale. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments.
